Friday afternoon, we loaded up and headed to the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo. We just went to take Ryan to see the animals. He LOVED them!! The only animal he wanted nothing to do with were the horses, which is the one animal I wanted to see. They had this one exhibit that was called Animal Adventures where the kids were able to run around and see different types of animals that they could pet and see on their level. He was fascinated with the chickens and their babies. Ryan also got to see a fire truck. He is into fire trucks and ambulances right now. He was super excited when he saw the fire truck. Then, one of the firemen made his day when they picked him up and placed him on the fire truck. He was all smiles!
Then, today, we all went to the Train Show at the convention center. Shawn and I thought that Ryan would just love seeing all the trains and we were right. The show was pretty much a dealer show where you could buy the trains, but they had lots of displays of tracks set up with trains running. They also had free train rides for the kids and a spot where the kids could operate the trains. One of the dealers gave him a fake conductors hat and he pretty much wore it the whole time we were there. It was such a fun weekend to get out of the house and give Ryan something to do. It was also Hunter's first outings, but he just slept the whole time.
Above is Ryan pushing the button to control the train!
Since Ryan was such a big boy today, he was able to buy his own train set.
